I need Java 6 in order to run some other programs. When I installed OS 10.13.2, it apparently deleted Java 6 and replaced it with a new version. Now when I try to re-install Java 6, I get a message saying that it will not install because a newer version of Java is installed. I have tried to un-install the current version of Java that is on my computer, but I get a message saying it cannot be uninstalled because it is required by the system. Is there any work-around that would enable me to install Java 6?
May 02, 2019 Download the Java SE 6 for OSX (click the Download button) Once the download finishes, install the dmg file following the onscreen instructions. When you have Java Runtime 6 installed on your Mac, you can launch Adobe CS5 (or any other app that require Java 6 runtime). Note: You DO NOT need to restart your Mac before launching the app. Set “Use version” to “Java SE 6” and reorder the list in “Java Application Runtime Settings” so “Java SE 6” is first. After you click “Save” and quit, confirm that Java 6 is active by running java -version.

The following are the system requirements for installing the JDK and the JRE on macOS:
Download Mac Java
Java Download 64-bit Mac
Any Intel-based computer running macOS.
Administrator privileges.
You cannot install Java for a single user. Installing the JDK and JRE on macOS is performed on a systemwide basis for all users. Administrator privileges are required to install the JDK and JRE on macOS.
When you install the JDK, it also installs the JRE. However, the system will not replace the current JRE with a lower version.
Download fortnite for macbook air. To determine the current JRE version installed on your system, see Determining the JRE Version Installed on macOS. To install an earlier version of the JRE, you must first uninstall the current version. See Uninstalling the JRE on macOS.
When you install the JRE, you can install only one JRE on your system at a time. The system will not install a JRE that has an earlier version than the current version.

Installing a JRE from Oracle will not update
